Printed on:Friday 10/13/2023 03:59 PM 29C0341/AAAN/114742Pageof3
Department of Transportation - Division of Maintenance Structure Maintenance & Investigations
5
UNDERWATER INVESTIGATION DETAILS - NOT APPLICABLE FOR THIS BRIDGE.
STEEL INVESTIGATION DETAILS
SCOPE AND ACCESS
There was minimal water in the creek during the time of this inspection, no submerged elements. A complete routine inspection was
performed.
WATERWAY
A channel cross section was spot checked during this inspection. The measurement at Bent 2 is two feet lower than the last routine
inspection on 09/02/2021. There is broken concrete/rip rap at the bents so the measurement location may not be exact.
This structure has no history of significant scour or hydraulic problems. The County placed broken concrete rock slope protection (RSP)
at both abutments after the 2011 inspection. The County performed a scour evaluation on 7/14/2021 and their report is on file.
The hydraulics report dated 08/29/2001 determined that this structure is scour critical. The channel bed material is highly erodible and the
calculated scour elevation is lower than the allowable scour elevation. A Bridge Scour Evaluation - Plan of Action dated 11/4/2005 is on
file.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Monitor the structure for scour related problems during flood events.
INSPECTION COMMENTARY
TYPE OF MEMBRANE
TYPE OF DECK PROTECTION
DECK STRUCTURE TYPE
TYPE OF WEARING SURFACE
WEARING SURFACE / PROTECTIVE SYSTEM
1882AVERAGE DAILY TRAFFIC
2011 YEAR OF ADT
5 KMBYPASS, DETOUR LENGTH
20 %(109) TRUCK ADT %
1572FUTURE ADT
2038 YEAR OF FUTURE ADT
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE 5: NOT ELIGIBLE FOR NRHP
6-BITUMINOUS
0-NONE
0-NONE
1-CIP CONCRETE
DECK STRUCTURE INFORMATION
9.9 M
9.7 M
DECK AND ROADWAY
LANES 2
35
0-NOT ON NHS
PARALLEL STRUCTURE
TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
DEFENSE HIGHWAY
FUNCTIONAL CLASS
SPEED
NATIONAL HIGHWAY SYSTEM
TOLL
DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC
DESIGNATED NATIONAL NETWORK
TYPE OF SERVICE
FEDERAL LANDS HWY
8 EQUAL DESIRABLE CRITAPPR ROADWAY ALIGN
5 ABOVE TOLERABLEDECK GEOMETRY
7.6 MAPPROACH RDWY WIDTH
BRIDGE MEDIAN
LEFT 0.0 M RIGHT 0.0 MCURB OR SIDEWALK
TOTAL WIDTH
NET WIDTH
9.7 MINVENTORY ROUTE TOTAL HORIZ CLEAR
99.99 MINVENTORY ROUTE MIN VERT CLEAR
3-ON FREE ROAD
09-LOCAL RURAL
0-NOT STRAHNET
N-NONE EXISTS
2-2 WAY
0-NOT APPLICABLE
0-NOT ON NET
0 NO MEDIAN
1-HIGHWAY
DECK ROADWAY/OPERATIONAL INFORMATIONDECK GEOMETRY
0.3 ft br, 32.1 ft, 0.3 ft br
DECK CROSS SECTION
LRS INVENTORY RTE & SUBRTE
BASE HIGHWAY NETWORK 0-NOT ON NET
- NOT APPLICABLE FOR THIS BRIDGE.
.5 inchesOVERLAY THICKNESS (inches)
N/A
(51)
(52)
(50)
(32)
(33)
(107)
(108)
A)
B)
C)
(29)
(30)
(19)
(114)
(115)
(37)
(42a)
(12)
(13)
(104)
(26)
(100)
(101)
(102)
(10)
(47)
(68)
(72)
(105)
(110)
(20)
(28a)
(103)
CONDITION INFORMATION
25.9 MLENGTH (49)
Element DescriptionElem
No.
Env Total
Qty
Units
CS 1 CS 2 CS 3 CS 4
Qty in each Condition State
38 Slab-RC
Delamination/Spall/Patched Area
Cracking (RC and Other)
2
2
2
256
1
4
sq.m
each
each
251
0
0
5
1
4
0
0
0
0
0
0
DECK ELEMENT INSPECTION RATINGS AND NOTES
Defect/
Prot
1080
1130
Defect
(58) 7DECK RATING =
SPECIAL INSPECTION INFORMATION
