There is an outstanding work recommendation to place a polyester
overlay due to the cracking, abrasion and high truck ADT.
The deck was treated with methacrylate between the 2002 and 2004 routine inspection.
Treated deck cracks are longitudinal and transverse cracks up to 0.06 inches wide and spaced as close as 6 inches on center
throughout the deck. (See Photo 1 dated 06/13/2020). Similar untreated cracks are visible on the deck.
There are longitudinal and transverse cracks up to 0.01 inches wide, randomly spaced and located with light efflorescence in the
soffit. (See Photo 2). This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
The methacrylate is no longer providing protection to the bridge deck. The deck cracks are opening, have edge spalling and new
cracking is developing. See Defect 1130 for more details.
There is an outstanding work recommendation from the 2016 inspection to place a polyester overlay.
(58) 4DECK RATING =
(36a) Rail Code 0000
330 Railing-Metal 2 94 m 94 0 0 0
JOINT/APPROACH/RAIL ELEMENT INSPECTION RATINGS AND NOTES
RAIL INFORMATION
(36b) Transition (36c) Appr Guardrail (36d) Appr Guardrail End 55Roadway Speed MPH
JOINT - APPROACH - RAIL
(330) Railing-Metal
Element DescriptionElem
No.
Env Total
Qty
Units
CS 1 CS 2 CS 3 CS 4
Qty in each Condition StateDefect/
Prot Defect
There were no significant defects noted.
