See Photo 5 dated 06/22/2020.
There is an area up of shallow spalling up to 4 feet in diameter x 0.25 inches deep on the left side of Span 1 near Abutment 1. (See
Photo 3). This defect was caused by fire damage.
The thin chip seal overlay on the bridge deck has worn off in places exposing the bare concrete deck. There are random and pattern
cracks up to 0.06 inches wide spaced as close as 12 inches on center visible within these exposed areas. (See Photos 8 and 9 dated
06/09/2022).
There are longitudinal and pattern cracks up to 0.02 inches wide spaced as close as 6 inches on center throughout the soffit with no
efflorescence. These cracks are most prominent in the longitudinal direction near the centerline of the bridge and at the bents. See
Photo 4.
These conditions have been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
See defect 38-1080 for details.
The thin chip seal overlay on the bridge deck has areas of varying size that have worn off, exposing the bare concrete deck.
