There were no significant defects noted.
There are three exposed piles at each of the abutments (see BIR 02/22/2023 Photos 7 and 8).
The remaining piles were not exposed for visual inspection. The scope of UW
inspection included the original 4 columns each of Bents 3-10, and the additional 4 retrofit columns each at Bents 4 and 8 for a total
of 40 columns.

UWI (11/09/2020): Bent 7, 8, and 9; Visual inspection no problems noted. Inspection findings consistent with ELI condition state 1.
(16 each CS 1)
Notes from the 11/8/2019 UAS: No significant defects were noted above the waterline.
UWI (11/09/2020): The 24 columns at Bents 3-6 and Bent 10 have minor rock pockets, concrete abrasion exposing secure course
aggregate in the tidal zone, and hairline cracks. (24 each, CS 2)
UWI (11/09/2020): The concrete surfaces of both piers were found to be in good condition with minor rock pockets, concrete abrasion
exposing course aggregate in the tidal zone, and hairline cracks. As noted below a minor void was found on the south face of Pier
11.
UWI (11/09/2020): 3 feet of ELI element 210, Reinforced Concrete Pier Wall is in condition state 2 to reflect the void on the south face
of Pier 11.
UWI (11/09/2020): In addition to the void noted above, the RC pier walls are in CS 2 due to abrasion.
UWI (11/09/2020): The exposed portions of the RC pile Cap at Piers 11 and 12 are in good condition. The approximate exposed
portions are:
Pier 11: the entire footing block (138 feet perimeter).
Pier 12: the entire south side 36.5 feet, half of the east and west sides 12 feet each.
