BEFORE THE BOARD OF SS ATE OF CALIFORNIA COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br />R-95- j S� <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF EIGHT MILE ROAD <br />BETWEEN INTERSTATE 5 AND STOCKTON CITY LIMITS <br />FOR THE sTOCKTON ASPARAGUS FESTIVAL <br />j;-r-jRzAS, the organizers of the Stockton Asparagus Festival, <br />hereinafter referred to as APPLICANT, have applied for permission.. <br />to temporarily close the County portion of Eight Mile Road to <br />traffic between Interstate 5 and Stockton City Limits for the <br />hours from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 P.M. on April 21, 22 and 23, 1995, <br />for the purpose of the Stockton Asparagus Festival. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the finding of <br />this Board of Supervisors that, as authorized by Section 10-2700 <br />of the Ordinance Code of San Joaquin County, it is necessary <br />for the protection of the public to grant permission to close <br />Eight Mile Road between Interstate 5 and Stockton City Limits on <br />April 21, 22 and 23, 1995, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the <br />purpose of the Stockton Asparagus Festival. <br />This action shall be subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That an Encroachment Permit shall be obtained from the <br />Department of Public Works for the road closure. <br />2. That the performance of any procedures related to this <br />.permit shall constitute an acceptance of all the provisions <br />contained herein and failure on APPLICANT'S part to comply <br />with any provision will be cause for revocation of this <br />permit. <br />3. Provisions shall be made for the passage of local traffic. <br />4. That should emergency conditions arise during road closure <br />period, temporary opening of road shall be implemented <br />immediately by APPLICANT. <br />
