AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB LAW <br /> ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br /> FOR THE "2014 LINDEN CHERRY FESTIVAL 5K RUN"EVENT ON MAY 17,2014 <br /> A- 14- <br /> This agreement(hereinafter"AGREEMENT")for law enforcement services to Linden Athletic <br /> Boosters Club for the 2014 LINDEN CHERRY FESTIVAL 5K RUN event(hereinafter"EVENT"),is <br /> made and entered into by and between the County of San Joaquin,a political subdivision of the State of <br /> California, (hereinafter"COUNTY"),and Linden Athletic Boosters Club, a separate and distinct entity <br /> (hereinafter"LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB seeks to have law enforcement security <br /> for its EVENT; and <br /> WHEREAS the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office has no objection to providing law <br /> enforcement security services for the EVENT as allowed by Government Code Section 53069.8 and <br /> reserves the right to terminate EVENT for purposes of public safety, <br /> PROVIDED any costs associated with work hours and mileage pursuant to this AGREEMENT <br /> wherein Deputy Sheriffs worked at the EVENT shall be paid for by LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS <br /> CLUB at the rate indicated in the estimated cost schedule below. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the rate charges, covenants, terms, and agreements <br /> contained herein,the COUNTY and LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB agrees to the estimated cost for law enforcement security <br /> provided by the San Joaquin County Sheriff as listed below. <br /> 2. This estimated cost is based on the understanding that three(3) Deputy Sheriffs will be provided on <br /> May 17,2014 for 3-hour shifts each. Should circumstances arise requiring more hours and/or <br /> personnel, this estimated cost would be adjusted accordingly. In addition, if any further resources are <br /> needed to provide adequate security at the EVENT, including from other agencies,those costs will <br /> be the responsibility of LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB. <br /> 3. By signing this contract LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB agrees to pay COUNTY for all <br /> costs associated with providing law enforcement services for the EVENT. Should mutual aid <br /> assistance of outside agencies be required to meet security needs,those additional costs will be <br /> passed on to LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB via the Sheriff's Office invoice. <br /> 4. At the conclusion of the event,the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department will tender an invoice <br /> accounting for the number and hours of the personnel worked,patrol unit costs, and any other mutual <br /> aid costs incurred. <br /> 5. Upon LINDEN ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB's receipt of the invoice from the San Joaquin <br /> County Sheriff's Office,payment must be made to the County of San Joaquin c/o San Joaquin <br /> County Sheriff's Office,Attention Management Services, 7000 Michael N. Canlis Blvd,French <br /> Camp, CA 95231-9781. <br />
