Special Conditions for -3- <br /> ENCROACHMENT PERMIT <br /> 24. County roads shall be kept clean from mud and debris at all times along the access points and <br /> work zone areas during entire project. All standard roadway striping and signage shall be clearly <br /> visible, maintained and restored throughout the construction zone during and after the project. <br /> 25. In addition to standard dust control measures, streets shall be maintained in a clean condition, <br /> free of dirt, mud and debris during construction activities. The contractor shall provide daily, or as <br /> needed, street sweeping using a modern mechanical or vacuum-assisted street sweeper. <br /> 26. The contractor shall not conduct construction operations in rain or heavy fog conditions. <br /> 27. Work shall not proceed until 10 day look ahead weather forecast does not indicate inclement <br /> weather. <br /> 28. Initial patch shall be completed with Hot Mix Asphalt. <br /> 29. Final restoration shall conform to trench cut policy and be performed when acceptable weather <br /> permits. <br /> 30. Contractor is responsible for maintaining temporary patch. <br /> 31. Traffic Control per MUTCD. <br /> 32. PG&E must coordinate and cooperate with the County for the construction of PG&E electric and <br /> gas facilities and County roadway improvements. <br /> 33. PG&E has 200 working days to complete work with 60 calendar day notice given by County prior <br /> to the beginning of 200 working days. <br /> 34. PG&E is responsible for SWPPPs/BMPs and TCP while PG&E work is underway. PG&E is <br /> required to restore the construction site to the original conditions. Costs incurred by the County <br /> for restoring BMPs as required in a timely manner will be borne by PG&E. <br /> 35. Trench backfill must be in accordance with County's current standards. Compaction test will be <br /> required by PG&E and results must be shared with the County. <br /> 36. PG&E will remove PG&E poles and backfill holes with acceptable native materials that are <br /> suitable for use as engineered fill for roadway, i.e. free of organics, debris, and deleterious <br /> materials; and be compacted to 90% relative compaction, and/or roadway structural material as <br /> appropriate. <br /> 37. PG&E will be responsible for delay claims from County's contractor as a result of PG&E's failure <br /> to complete PG&E work within the allotted working days (200 days). <br />
