Special Conditions for -3- ENCROACHMENT PERMIT 24. County roads shall be kept clean from mud and debris at all times along the access points and work zone areas during entire project. All standard roadway striping and signage shall be clearly visible, maintained and restored throughout the construction zone during and after the project. 25. In addition to standard dust control measures, streets shall be maintained in a clean condition, free of dirt, mud and debris during construction activities. The contractor shall provide daily, or as needed, street sweeping using a modern mechanical or vacuum-assisted street sweeper. 26. The contractor shall not conduct construction operations in rain or heavy fog conditions. 27. Work shall not proceed until 10 day look ahead weather forecast does not indicate inclement weather. 28. Initial patch shall be completed with Hot Mix Asphalt. 29. Final restoration shall conform to trench cut policy and be performed when acceptable weather permits. 30. Contractor is responsible for maintaining temporary patch. 31. Traffic Control per MUTCD. 32. PG&E must coordinate and cooperate with the County for the construction of PG&E electric and gas facilities and County roadway improvements. 33. PG&E has 200 working days to complete work with 60 calendar day notice given by County prior to the beginning of 200 working days. 34. PG&E is responsible for SWPPPs/BMPs and TCP while PG&E work is underway. PG&E is required to restore the construction site to the original conditions. Costs incurred by the County for restoring BMPs as required in a timely manner will be borne by PG&E. 35. Trench backfill must be in accordance with County's current standards. Compaction test will be required by PG&E and results must be shared with the County. 36. PG&E will remove PG&E poles and backfill holes with acceptable native materials that are suitable for use as engineered fill for roadway, i.e. free of organics, debris, and deleterious materials; and be compacted to 90% relative compaction, and/or roadway structural material as appropriate. 37. PG&E will be responsible for delay claims from County's contractor as a result of PG&E's failure to complete PG&E work within the allotted working days (200 days).
