City of Stockton—Delta Water Supply Project <br /> WTP Construction Entrance/Ground Breaking Ceremony <br /> Description of Work <br /> Thifollowing describes the steps to be taken through the duration of the construction project:/ <br /> • site control measures will be established starting approximately October 12, 9 and will <br /> rem in effect until the project is substantially completed, which is currentl cheduled for <br /> Februar 9, 2012. <br /> ■ Prior to the tart of construction CDM will widen the existin <br /> g site acces riveway to allow <br /> better access. his will include extending the existing culvert and a 'ncreasing the entrance pull <br /> off and turn radiu o allow for easier entrance off Lower Sacram to Road. <br /> • All Construction tra will utilize this entrance to the site incl ing all deliveries and employees. <br /> ■ In accordance with the a roved SWPPP CDM will lime tre and rock the access drive prior to <br /> the start of work to help mi ' ize tracking of mud onto a paved road. All construction work <br /> and lay down areas are locate&WEll back from the p ed road. CDM will have the paved <br /> roadway swept on an as needed b is should mu a tracked offsite. <br /> ■ In accordance with the project dust co�trol pla , CDM will periodically water the entrance road <br /> and lay down areas to control dust. <br /> • When possible incoming delivery drivers ill directed to the site in a manner that will bring <br /> them in via the southbound lane allow" g them turn right into the site. <br /> • Upon completion of their offloadin ctivities delive drivers will be advised of the site "Right <br /> turn only" policy for their exit. ign will also be poste at the intersection indicating "No Left <br /> Turn". <br /> • Temporary Haul Routes wi e established for concrete tru kd s ndump trucks such that <br /> vehicles will approach v' the southbound lane for a right turn int the site,and will leave the <br /> site via a right turn. <br /> • Mandatory Site S ty orientation to be taken by all site workers will inc e education of the <br /> sites "Right tur only" requirements. <br /> • Upon compI ion of the project, the temporary construction entrance apron an culvert will be <br /> removed h .. removing the appearance of this access to the property. <br /> ■ See E ibit A for more details. <br /> In addition to the above, the following additional controls will be employed for the Ground Breaking <br /> Ceremony from 10:00 to about 12:00 on October 29th, 2009: <br /> • In addition to the above stated controls, a flagger and warning signage will be provided on <br /> Lower Sacramento Road the morning of the ceremony as indicated in Exhibit B. This flagger will <br /> allow southbound traffic to be stopped to clear any back up created by northbound vehicles <br /> turning left into the site. <br /> • A flagger will be provided at the site exit to direct vehicles leaving the site that they must turn <br /> right. <br />
