Special Conditions for -2- ENCROACHMENT PERMIT 14. Drainage ditches shall remain open and in pre-construction condition at the end of each work day. 15. Final paving for trench repair or road resurfacing shall be per Caltrans' specifications and shall not occur between November 1 and March 31 unless authorized by the County. 16. Shoulder backing in areas without curb and gutter shall be Class II Aggregate Base. 17. Temporary pavement shall be provided for all trench areas within three days of pavement removal or by Friday of each week, whichever is more restrictive. 18. Roadway areas subject to pavement cuts shall receive a 0.12-foot asphalt concrete overlay from the centerline to the edge of pavement. If the pavement is disturbed on both sides of the centerline, then the entire roadway shall be resurfaced. All pavement conforms shall be ground to provide a flush surface. Shoulder areas shall be brought up to the finish grade as directed by the County. 19. Shoulder backing shall meet Class-11 AB Specification (recycled materials allowed). Contractor shall place shoulder backing at new edge of pavement as required to provide a flush surface at the edge of pavement and shoulder backing area. 20. Contractor shall re-stripe edge line. 21. All pipe and pipeline-related facilities including, but not limited to, valves, utility boxes and vaults, and frames and covers shall be maintained by the City of Stockton. The City shall be responsible for any and all costs associated with the relocation and/or adjustment of these facilities as determined by the County at the City's expense. (Streets and Highways Code 1463) 22. All future maintenance of the pipeline and related facilities within the County right-of-way will require a San Joaquin County Encroachment Permit. 23. Contractor/Designer shall establish (Togo) existing roadway, ditches and drainage grades within the construction area prior to construction. Any repair to roadways and adjacent areas shall match existing grades and x-section_ s. Any proposed grade changes shall receive prior approval from County. 24. Storage of construction material and equipment within the County right-of-way will not be allowed within 15 feet of the traveled way. 25. A report describing a public information campaign to inform affected residents and businesses shall be submitted to the County for approval prior to beginning work. 26. Above ground ARV boxes and other similar facilities will be allowed within the right-of-way if located as far to the outside edge as possible and if the location either meets AASHTO Clear Zone guidelines or is protected by an existing obstruction such as a tree or utility pole.
