Special Conditions for -2- <br /> ENCROACHMENT PERMIT <br /> 14. Drainage ditches shall remain open and in pre-construction condition at the end of each work <br /> day. <br /> 15. Final paving for trench repair or road resurfacing shall be per Caltrans' specifications and shall <br /> not occur between November 1 and March 31 unless authorized by the County. <br /> 16. Shoulder backing in areas without curb and gutter shall be Class II Aggregate Base. <br /> 17. Temporary pavement shall be provided for all trench areas within three days of pavement <br /> removal or by Friday of each week, whichever is more restrictive. <br /> 18. Roadway areas subject to pavement cuts shall receive a 0.12-foot asphalt concrete overlay from <br /> the centerline to the edge of pavement. If the pavement is disturbed on both sides of the <br /> centerline, then the entire roadway shall be resurfaced. All pavement conforms shall be ground <br /> to provide a flush surface. Shoulder areas shall be brought up to the finish grade as directed by <br /> the County. <br /> 19. Shoulder backing shall meet Class-11 AB Specification (recycled materials allowed). Contractor <br /> shall place shoulder backing at new edge of pavement as required to provide a flush surface at <br /> the edge of pavement and shoulder backing area. <br /> 20. Contractor shall re-stripe edge line. <br /> 21. All pipe and pipeline-related facilities including, but not limited to, valves, utility boxes and vaults, <br /> and frames and covers shall be maintained by the City of Stockton. The City shall be responsible <br /> for any and all costs associated with the relocation and/or adjustment of these facilities as <br /> determined by the County at the City's expense. (Streets and Highways Code 1463) <br /> 22. All future maintenance of the pipeline and related facilities within the County right-of-way will <br /> require a San Joaquin County Encroachment Permit. <br /> 23. Contractor/Designer shall establish (Togo) existing roadway, ditches and drainage grades within <br /> the construction area prior to construction. Any repair to roadways and adjacent areas shall <br /> match existing grades and x-section_ s. Any proposed grade changes shall receive prior approval <br /> from County. <br /> 24. Storage of construction material and equipment within the County right-of-way will not be allowed <br /> within 15 feet of the traveled way. <br /> 25. A report describing a public information campaign to inform affected residents and businesses shall be <br /> submitted to the County for approval prior to beginning work. <br /> 26. Above ground ARV boxes and other similar facilities will be allowed within the right-of-way if <br /> located as far to the outside edge as possible and if the location either meets AASHTO Clear <br /> Zone guidelines or is protected by an existing obstruction such as a tree or utility pole. <br />
