Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Encroachment Permit for Water Line in McKinley Avenue
Dear Sirs/Madams;
As you know, the City is in the process of applying for an encroachment permit on
McKinley Avenue for the installation of a 12"Water Line on McKinley Avenue. In this
process, the City understands that the County normally charges plan check and inspection
fees to cover the costs of County Staff's time.
In order to reduce the overall project costs and to minimize the doubling up on work effort,
the City Staff requests that the County charge the City a reduced fee for the inspection
portion of the fee. This request is based on the City providing full-time inspection by
assigning it's senior inspector, Kevin Connell, to the project. We do, however, understand
that the County Staff needs to do inspections to the extent that they feel comfortable with the
work quality and progress.
Thank you for your consideration of this request. Should you have any questions, please contact
Jim Costantini at (209)858-2860, Ext. 328,the staff member directly involved with this project.
Sinc ly,
CaryKeaten
Public Works Director
Copy: Pam Carder, City Manager
Jim Costantini, Public Works
Greg Gibson, Public Work
Kevin Connell, Public Works
16775 Howland Road, Lathrop, California 95330 www.ci.lathro-p,ca.us
VPublic Wor&Facilityl WaterIPW01-15-Well 21&22URiter to county PW-2-26-2004.doc
