<br /> Traffic control shall be in accordance with section 12 of the Caltrans standard
<br /> specifications. All pavement cuts shall be neatly line cut. Pavement restoral for
<br /> longitudinal trenches shall not result in a "cold joint" within three feet of an existing
<br /> edge of pavement (i.e. no "ribbon patches").
<br /> 20. Whenever pavement is broken or cut in the installation of the work covered by these
<br /> specifications, the pavement shall be replaced, after proper backfilling, with pavement
<br /> materials equal to or better than the materials used in the original paving. The finished
