All earthwork except for finish grading of shoulders and placement of Shoulder <br /> py Sta. 25+00 to Sta. 131 +50 Backing" material shall be completed prior to placing final layer of Asphalt Concrete overlay. <br /> 2. Surplus native material within the limits of Clearing and Grubbing shall be excavated and <br /> used as shoulder embankment throughout the project. This material shall be placed and <br /> J`. compacted prior to hauling Impoort Borrow. <br /> O 3. R—Value and Sand Equivalent requirements shall be waived for Imported Borrow material. <br /> 4. Graveled Shoulders shall be constructed by uniformly placing "Shoulder Backing" material at <br /> a rate of 3 tons per station (each side). The completed graveled shoulder shall be flush <br /> with the edge of pavement. <br /> ASPHALT CONCRETE OVERLAY CHART 5. Where superelevations exist on horizontal curves, the new surface slope and drainage shall <br /> Sta. to Sta. Thickness comform to existing. <br /> 25+00 to 25+50 Var. Depth—Trans. 6. Existing pavement markers may remain in place where overlay thickness is 0.25' or greater. <br /> 25+50 to 40+50 0,17' <br /> 40+50 to 41+50 Var. Depth—Trans. 7.
