/>C.Lights,signs and barricades shall be fumished,erected and maintained by the Permittee for the adequate warning and convenience of the public,withpartioularattentiontobe-taken inthis regard after dark <br />D.Any excess dirt and/or debris which might be a hazard to either automobile or'pedestrian traffic,UllGontrollable bylights,signs fui.dbarricades,shall beremovedfromthejobsitedaily. <br />STRUCTDRES,_. <br />A Walls of structures shall be such quality and streng'"ththat they will resist all pressures and'will n.otcrack or be deformed in such away as to create a hazard <br />or maintenance problem at any time.Therefore,the minimum structural requirements for concrete pipe placed under couoty road rights-of-way shaH <br />conform to the following At-nericau Association of State Highway ai1dtransportation Officials (AASHrO)designations. <br />1.For concrete pipe up to and includingfuirty-mree inches (33'')inside-diameter,I5ma streng'"illconcrete conforming to A.ASHTO Designation M170M. <br />2.For concrete pipe thirty-six inches (36")ios.ide diameter and larger,reinforced concrete pipe confurming toAASmO Designation M 170M Classill. <br />3.Plastic pipe conforming to AASHfO Designation 1\.1294. <br />B.AlI concrete pipe joints \7,~thCounty road rights-of-way shall be sealed against leakage and/or.in:filtration with rubber gasket in COnformfui.Cewith Section <br />65-1 :06 of the California Standard Specifications,or with other methods as may bepermi:tted under the Special Provisions, <br />C.Cast-in-plaGe concrete pipe,vitrified clay pipe,spiral welded steel pipe,or corrugated alumiuum aUoy pipe shall not be installed within the County road <br />rights-of-way unless specifically so stated in the Special Provisions,and only under tIre conditions ~provided. <br />D.AlL structures to be buried within the Caunty rights-,af-way shaH be set at such elevations as to allow minim.um co~rerag-eof thirty inches (30")to the <br />centerline of the fromrigbt-of-way(border)lines. <br />REPAIRS OF THE e:OUNTY RIGHT-OF-WAY, <br />A All excavations shall be backfilLed and compacted immediately after worle therein llBSbeen completed. <br />B.Trenched shall not be left open farther than 300 feet in advance of p.ipelaying operations,or 200 feet to the rear thereof,unless otherwise perrnitte;d by theEngineer.'. <br />C.Unless dtherwise pennitted under the Special Provisions,backfill shall be placed and mecIianically compacted in'such amanner that the relative compa:ction <br />throughout the entire fiUwithin the Co.unty road rigl!L70f-wayshall conform to the percentages of compaction as shown on the Trench detail.. <br />D.BackfiIl material shall be place.d in horizontal uniform layers not to exceed in thickness,before compaction,0.67 foot in the bedding region,one-fuotwhere <br />90%compaction is required,and two-feet wl1ere 80%compaction isrequired.. <br />E.No portion of the excavation(s)shall be compacted by ponding orjetting unless a maintenance bond is provided. <br />F.Gral'el baclcfiII material shall be utilized only wllerespecifically so stated on theface of the permit.It shall be compacted by means of ahigh-frequency <br />internal viorator,the compactor to -bea size and type approved by the Engineer.Points of compaction shall not begreater than 18"centers and to the fulldepthofthelift. <br />G.All pavements,curbs,gutters,sidewalks,b"Orrowditches,pipes,head.walls,road signs,trees,shrubbery,and/or other pc:nnanent road facilities i!TIpaired by <br />or as a result of construction operations at the consirllction site(s)occupied by materials and/or equipment,shall berestored immediately upon backfilling of <br />the excavation'to the original grades and cross sections,and to a condition as good as,or better than existing prior to construction. <br />H.All surfacing materials of roadways and driveway approaches cut or damaged byor as a result of construction operations,shall be replaced within 'ONE <br />WEEK following lbe backfilling of excavation,weather permitting,with compacted layers of surfacing materials at least as thick as the existing,and no lessthantwoinches(2")of asphalt concrete over six'inches (6'')of Dggregate base,both as specified below.- <br />1.Asphalt Concrete:Combined mineral aggregate shaH co.nform to the quality and gradation requirements for Type ''B''one-half inch(1/2) <br />maximum aggregate,coarse or medium gradation as specwed in Section 39 oillie California Standard Specifications.The bituminous binder to <br />be mixed with mineral aggregate shall be paving asphalt having (Grade PG 64-10),unless otherwise directed byilie Engineer.Placement of <br />asphalt conqete surfacing shaH confonn to the applicable provisions of Section 39 ofthe California Standard Specifications. <br />2.Aggregate Base:Combined.mineral aggregates snal!conform to the quality and the grading for three-quarter inch (314")max.imum size <br />aggregate Class 2 AggregafeBase specified in Section 26 of the CalifomiaStandard Specifications.r Before accepta.'1ce of repairs to tlle County road rights-of-way,all unsightly and
