High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) must be placed in one <br />(1) layer on the existing surface. <br />2. Before High Friction Treatment Surface is to be applied to the <br />areas, the Contractor must protect all utility covers, including <br />but not limited to maintenance holes, water valves and survey <br />monument frames and covers. Contractor will remove <br />protective covers after the application is completed. Full <br />compensation will be considered as included in the unit price <br />for High Friction Surface Treatment. <br />3. The Contractor must remove and dispose pavement markers in <br />all areas. The cost of work will be included in the unit price for <br />Install Rumble Strips. <br />4. Pavement Repair must be completed 30 calendar days <br />prior to placing High Friction Surface Treatment. <br />5. The Contractor must be responsible for adequately scheduling <br />the inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under <br />this contract. All testing must conform to the Standard <br />Specifications. All re -testing will be paid for by the Contractor. <br />6. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully <br />preserve survey bench marks, control points, reference points <br />and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for <br />replacement and/or errors caused by their unnecessary loss or <br />disturbance. <br />7. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place <br />unless otherwise stated. <br />8. All work, including staging areas, will be confined to paved <br />surfaces. <br />9. No Rumble Strips will be installed on existing concrete surface. <br />10.
