GENERAL NOTES: 1. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 2. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place unless otherwise noted. 3. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. 4. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour notice to the County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. 5. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the State of California for traffic control or any work within the State's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be considered to be included in the various items of work.
