Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair <br />has been in place for a minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving <br />has been completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must <br />remain in place unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor <br />must conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. All Earthwork, except for final shoulder grading, must be completed prior to placing the <br />final layer of HMA Pavement. No Shoulder Backing material must be deposited or drifted on <br />the final layer of HMA surfacing. Where the shoulder placement exceeds 0.50' in thickness, <br />the Shoulder Backing must be placed in two (2) or more fully compacted layers. <br />8. Shoulder Backing material at all intersections radii must receive Penetration Treatment <br />at 0.25 GAL/SQYD. Limits of the Penetration Treatment work must be confined <br />to intersection radii plus fifty feet (50') in each direction or to the intersection conform. <br />9. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing <br />of all facilities constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hours notice to the <br />County. All testing must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re -testing will be paid <br />by the Contractor. <br />10. Removal of AC Dike, where shown on the plans must be done in such a manner as <br />not to damage the existing AC surface below the dike. <br />11. Hand grinding of AC pavement will be required at locations where existing highway and <br />utility facilities are within the Planing AC and Pavement Repair limits. Payment for hand <br />grinding must be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Planing AC <br />Pavement. <br />12. The Contractor must obtain an Encroachment Permit from the City of Escalon for <br />traffic control or any work within the City's jurisdiction. Payment for this will be considered <br />to be included in the various items of work. <br />13. The Contractor must notify the City of Escalon 72 hours in advance of adjusting the <br />City facilities to finished grade. Refer to the City of Escalon Standards for adjusting <br />facilities to grade. <br />14. The Contractor must obtain all permits and licenses required for the construction and <br />completion of the project, and must perform all work in accordance with the requirements <br />and conditions of all permits and approvals applicable to the project. <br />15.
