Diane Hinson <br /> Abandonment of Dewaterin Wells <br /> Former Tillie Lewis Foods Cannery <br /> Stockton, California <br /> In conjunction with ongoing remediation at the former Tille Lewis Foods <br /> cannery, McClelland proposes to abandon the remaining outer perimeter <br /> dewatering wells at the site (Plate 1) . The inner perimeter dewatering wells <br /> and groundwater monitoring wells and. piezometers within the excavation are <br /> C being abandoned under a previously submitted permit (Abandonment Plan dated <br /> September 16, 1988) _ The outer perimeter dewatering wells will be abandoned <br /> in accordance with County regulations upon completion of the site excavation. <br /> All outer system dewatering wells will be abandoned by grouting <br /> from bottom to top with Volclay grout or equivalent. the wells <br /> i <br /> I <br /> We expect that abandonment of the dewatering wells will be <br /> gin in <br /> mid-February 1989. Attached to this plan are copies of the well abandonment <br /> permit applicatfion, the Environmental Health Permit/Services application , <br /> form, and the initial application fees of $35.
