4. Describe procedures for notifying onsite emergency response personnel and outside <br /> agencies (e.g., Fire, Health, Police, State OES)needed during hazardous materials <br /> emergencies. <br /> This is an unmanned facility. <br /> Upon discovery or notification of a spill, 1-866 HELP EHS will be notified and proper <br /> containment procedures will be initiated to reduce the spread of the spill <br /> 5. Describe any security system or equipment that could impede site access by <br /> emergency responders. <br /> The facility is secured with a chain-link fence that is closed and locked during non-business <br /> hours. In addition, all doors are kept locked and the alarm is activated after hours. <br /> OR: Possible fence and locks in place for access. Not all facilities have chain linked fences. <br /> This will be location specific. <br /> 6. Describe procedures for notification and evacuation of visitors and employees <br /> during hazardous materials emergencies. Primary and alternate evacuation routes <br /> and assembly areas must be clearly identified on the site map. <br /> This is an unmanned facility. In the event personnel are present,verbal notification will be <br /> made. Evacuate away from the facility to the prescribed Evacuation Area,where a personnel <br /> count can be made. <br /> 7. Describe mitigation or clean-up procedures to be implemented by onsite personnel in <br /> the event of a release, threatened release, fire or explosion involving hazardous <br /> materials. Indicate if the business has an onsite emergency response team(ERT) <br /> and if so, describe how the ERT will interact with outside emergency response <br /> agencies if additional assistance is required. <br /> The person discoveringthe he spill will: Contact 866-HELP EHS,(866-435-7347)keep others <br /> out of the area,attempt to stop the flow of the leak,wear protective equipment and use spill kit <br /> to absorb the leak.All ignition sources will be extinguished. All shut-off valves and ventilation <br /> systems will be shut down where safe and appropriate.Ever} attempt will be made to keep <br /> materials from entering floor or storm drains.If a spill enters a floor or storm drain,local <br /> utilities should be notified immediately.For small spills,all materials and used absorbents will <br /> be contained in a clearly marked,clean container.If the leak/release is beyond the persons <br /> capabilities,they will call 9-1-1 immediately. <br /> 8. Describe procedures for immediate inspection, isolation, and shutdown of equipment <br /> or systems that may be involved in a hazardous materials release or threatened <br /> release. <br /> Visual inspection of all affected areas or equipment will occur immediately leaking <br /> containers or equipment will be isolated and appropriate mitigation procedures will be <br /> implemented. Area will be isolated using hazard tape or rope. Any spill that has entered a <br /> storm drain becomes a reportable spill to external agencies. The external agency should be <br /> contacted immediately by the appropriate environmental department personnel. <br />
