UNIVAR USA INC. ci univAR <br />CONTINGENCY PLAN <br />)6/14/11 Replaces 03/10/10 <br />SECTION <br /> SUBJECT PAGE 1 <br />EIGHT <br /> EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT OF 5 <br />To assist with emergency response activities Univar facilities will be equipped with <br />Emergency Response Kits (A, B, C) and/or with Incidental Release Pallets. In addition, <br />Univar delivery vehicles will carry spill control materials and equipment. <br />EQUIPMENT LISTS <br />Certain equipment is to be stationed at fixed locations throughout the Branch: <br />Fire Extinguishers <br />First Aid Kits <br />Branches handling cyanide compounds and/or cyanide based pesticides must have <br />on-hand a cyanide poisoning antidote kit. Contact the person who handles Medical <br />Surveillance in Redmond to order kits. <br />Branches handling hydrofluoric acid and products containing hydrofluoric acid are <br />required to have on site an emergency kit containing a 2.5% calcium gluconate gel, <br />- rubber gloves and material safety data sheets for hydrofluoric acid. Contact your <br />Regional Operations Manager for assistance in obtaining the calcium gluconate gel. <br />Incidental Release Pallets will contain at a minimum: <br />Shovel, non-sparking <br />LI Broom <br />LI Recovery Drums <br />LI Absorbent/Diking Materials <br />LI Neutralizing Agents <br />Emergency Response Kits A, B and C <br />Tools and equipment used during emergencies are kept in a secure location in a <br />sealed metal box marked Emergency Response Kits A, B and C. The Emergency <br />Response Kits are kept sealed and are to be used only for emergencies. After use <br />the boxes are inventoried, cleaned and supplies replaced as needed. The boxes are <br />resealed after inventory and resupply. <br />FIR Kit A - For all warehouse or packaged product locations <br />FIR Kit B - For locations having bulk tank truck operations E/R <br />Kit C - For compressed gas stocking locations <br />The contents of the Emergency Response Kits A, B and C are listed in Appendix C.
