UN1VAR USA INC. 0 univAs <br />CONTINGENCY PLAN <br />3/14/11 Replaces 03/10/10 <br />SECTION <br />SUBJECT PAGE 2 <br />ONE <br />OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN OF 3 <br />The Contingency Plan must be modified if any of the following conditions exist: <br />The facility RCRA Part B permit is revised (if applicable). <br />The Contingency Plan fails in an emergency. <br />The facility changes its design or operation, or for other circumstances that <br />materially increases or decreases the potential for fires, explosions, or <br />releases of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents, or changes <br />the response necessary in an emergency. <br />The list of emergency coordinators changes. <br />The list of emergency equipment changes. <br />Whenever the Contingency Plan is revised it must be redistributed to the local police, fire <br />departments, local hospitals, and state and local emergency response agencies that may <br />e called upon to provide emergency services. The revised plan must also be submitted to <br />,ne U.S. E.P.A or director of the state agency in charge of hazardous waste programs if the <br />facility has a RCRA Part B permit or interim status. <br />This Contingency Plan is designed to satisfy the requirements for such a plan as <br />mandated by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Superfund <br />Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) - Title III, and the Hazardous Waste <br />Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) provisions of the Occupational <br />Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and all local requirements. This plan <br />serves as the Emergency Action Plan as defined in 29 CFR 1910.38 and 1910.119.
