UNIVAR USA INC. n vAR <br />CONTINGENCY PLAN <br />)6/14/11 Replaces 03/10/10 <br />SECTION <br /> <br />SUBJECT PAGE 15 <br />FIVE <br /> <br />PRE-EMERGENCY PLANNING OF 15 <br />TRANSPORTATION INCIDENTS <br />When transporting hazardous materials and hazardous wastes, the lading must be checked <br />periodically during transport to ensure its integrity and to safeguard human health and the <br />environment from the release of any hazardous materials or wastes. <br />In order to respond to a release of a hazardous material while on the road, each Univar <br />USA vehicle used to haul hazardous materials and wastes should carry the following <br />equipment: <br />LII Recovery drum 0 DOT rated salvage container, large enough to hold <br />a 55 gallon drum <br />LI Inert absorbent <br />LII Neutralizing material (Soda ash, lime) <br />LII Shovel <br />Protective Clothing <br />Driver Safety Equipment which should be carried in each power unit includes: <br />First Aid Kit <br />LI Fire Extinguisher <br />Goggles <br />Flashlight <br />Chemical Resistant jacket, pants, gloves, boots <br />Eye and skin neutralizing solution (if applicable) <br />LI Reflective triangles <br />0 Chemical resistant apron
