The facility requested to conduct a closure Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) inspection today. I conducted the HMBP inspection today, and the facility still stores reportable hazardous materials/chemicals onsite at or above 55 gallons for liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed gases. All the reportable hazardous materials/chemicals shall be removed from the site in order to conduct the closure inspection. The following chemicals were found onsite during the inspection today: The following chemicals are still stored inside the facility • Five Forklift Lead Acid Batteries with unknown amount of Sulfuric Acid found inside the Batteries Charge Room • Seven 55 gallon barrels of Charsol Supreme Hickory found inside the chemical storage Rooms, Batch Oven, and Spice Room. • One 55 gallon barrel of ChemStation 3791 found inside the Chemical Storage Room • Three totes (1,200 lbs each)of Traffikk found inside the Shipping Room • Two barrels with 100 gallons of Alpet D2 Sanitizer found inside the Shipping Room • Four 55 gallons drums of Perasan MP-2/Organic Peroxide found inside the Oven Room, and in the Outside Chemical Storage Area. • One 55 gallon barrel of ChemStation 2362-55 found inside the Boiler Room • One 55 gallon barrel of ChemStation 3340-55 found in the Outside the Chemical Storage • 100 gallon of Purasal HiPure, two 275 gallons totes of QST Vapor Smoke, two 55 gallons barrels of Charsol PN-9, One 275 gallons tote of Charsol Select 24PA, four 55 gallons barrels of Charsol 7049 found inside the Freezer Room. • 750 pounds of Norlite Industrial Perlite, 55 gallons of WWT CP53-2, three barrels with 65 gallons of Praestol, 500 gallons propane tank, four 8 gallons Propane cylinder, and 300 gallons of BluFloc Clear Aid 30s found in Wastewater treatment area. SJC EHD will conduct a HMBP closure inspection, when all these reportable chemicals are removed. AFTER THE COMPLIANCE DATE, EHD WILL BILL FOR ALL TIME AND ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH BRINGING THIS FACILITY BACK INTO COMPLIANCE.
