J POTENTIAL EQUIPNIENT FAILURE AND SECONDARY C )NTAIti`IENT <br /> 40 CFR 112.7(6)&(C) <br /> Tanks.The aboveground storage tanks have a potential discharge of 40,000 gallons total. The AST's <br /> have secondary containment in the form of double wall tanks which have a total capacity of 44,000 <br /> gallons, which will hold the discharge in the scenario of a complete tank failure. <br /> Product Transfer Area. The loading area for the aboveground tanks has a potential for discharge in case <br /> of a tank overfill with a potential discharge of 100 gallons. There is also a potential discharge in the case <br /> of a loading hose failure with a potential discharge of IUO gallons. The secondan containment is diked to <br /> control the flow of a potential discharge, keep the product contained with Spill Sorbents and has a <br /> containment capacity of 2510 gallons. <br /> CONTIGEN IN PLAN <br /> 40 CFR 112.7(4) <br /> It has been determined that the use of secondary containment and readily available spill equipment is <br /> practical and effective for this facility. <br /> INSPECTIONS AND RECORDKEEPING <br /> 40 CFR 112.7(e) <br /> Daily visual inspections of the property are conducted to examine: <br /> • All tanks and related piping and connections for breakage and/or leaks <br /> • Valves to make certain that they are securely closed where appropriate <br /> • The tank storage area for excessive accumulation of water <br /> • Portable containers to ensure lids secured if necessary <br /> In addition, monthly inspections are performed in accorrdan eith s and procedyuiespe developed <br /> or the <br /> facility by the owner and/or engineer.
