• 0 <br />All ECS Refining employees that work on-site or at off-site locations are training <br />according to the facility Training Plan. This framing is given initially (within six months <br />of hire; no unsupervised work is allowed before training is delivered and documented) <br />and is repeated on an annual basis. Training covers general safety, company <br />environmental policy, hazard communication, hearing protection, respiratory protection <br />(if required by job title), .and specif c on-the-job training according to established written <br />work procedures. Employees that will conduct removal of Materials Requiring Special <br />Handling from appliances receive additional training in how to recognize the special <br />materials, how to safely remove them, and how to properly containerize and label the <br />materials. Any employee removing refrigerants from appliances will have the training <br />required by US EPA to be a refrigerant removal technician. <br />Training in general safety topics is provided by the Environmental Health and Safety <br />Engineer under the direction of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. All of the <br />individuals that fill these j ob titles have over ten years' experience in identifying training <br />needs and delivering -environmental health.and safety training to workers, On-the-job <br />training according to established company procedures is conducted by the employee's <br />supervisor. US EPA Tefrigerant removal technician training will be provided by an off- <br />site accredited course. <br />9 <br />l�scrrptiion of informa' ��' ��a�� <br />The Environmental Health and Safety team at ECS Refining has electronic access to and <br />familiarity with applicable regulations, including those promulgated by the US EPA and <br />California Department of Toxic Substances Control, Uniform Fire Safety Code, and <br />California Occupational Healthand Safety Administration: <br />Workers engaged in the removal of MRSHs and transport have access to relevant <br />Material Safety Data Sheets, company Standard Operating Procedures and work <br />instructions, and attend regular meetings with EH&S staff that give them an opportunity <br />to ask questions about their job function and any EH&S concerns they may have. <br />Material <br />-Packagirig -Packaging <br />Labeling <br />Disposal Method <br />CFC Refrigerants <br />Gas cylinder <br />May require <br />Recycling <br />hazardous waste <br />A.R.C.
