PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
JOGI KHANNA M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer
P.O. Please be advised, however, that four confirmation soil samples may not be
sufficient to fully characterize the finished excavation. Please be prepared to obtain any needed additional soil
samples, if they are deemed necessary.
The work described in the workplan can be scheduled to begin after the completion of the public participation
period. PHS/EHD must conduct public participation for any corrective action proposed at underground tank
sites pursuant to Section 2728, Chapter 16 of the California Code of Regulations.
An "Executive Summary" will need to be prepared and submitted to PHS/EHD prior to the initiation of the
public participation period. The "Executive Summary" should be a brief one page explanation of the remedial
option chosen for this site. The summary should be written so that it can be easily understood by the general
public. PHS/EHD will initiate the public participation process upon receipt of the "Executive Summary". You
will be notified in writing when the public participation period will begin and end.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Turkatte, RENS, of my staff at (209) 468-3441.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer%
A.
