0
0
KENNETH D. SCHMIDT AND ASSOCIATES
GROUNDWATER QUALITY CONSULTANTS
Mr. Harold F. Grinde
April 10, 1986
Page 3
submersible pump would then be installed and pumped for two hours
prior to water sample collection. Static water levels would be
measured prior to pumping. If free product is present, the
thickness of this product will be measured, and samples will be
collected by bailing with a stainless steel bailer. Water from
all monitor wells would be analyzed for benzene, toluene, and
xylene by California Analytical Laborities (EPA Method 602). In
addition, water from the monitor wells near the leaded tank site
would be analyzed for lead by BC Laboratories and ethylene
dibromide by California Analytical Laboratories, Inc. (EPA Method
601).
Interpretive Report
An interpretive report would then be prepared, documenting
subsurface geologic conditions, water levels and the direction of
groundwater flow, and the presence or absence of soils and water
contamination at the monitor well sites around the tanks. If
additional studies are necessary, recommendations will be
provided in this report.
Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Kenneth D.
