My purpose in arranging
the meeting was to assure the Health District that Holly Sugar is working
toward resolving the problems associated with the gasoline contaminated so is
found during the removal of the tanks last year.
As stated in the March 4, 1986 letter from the Health District, the
cleanup plan will require the services of a qualified engineering consult
firm (hydrogeologist). Holly has retained Mr. Kenneth D. Schmidt as
Consulting Hydrogeologist for the cleanup plan. Mr. Schmidt will develop
a plan for us under the guidelines you presented to us during our meeting
and will forward the plan to the Health District for approval.
Holly will be forwarding to Mr. Schmidt all information available
relative to the site. As there will be some time element involved in
preparing the plan, I believe a short extension of the deadline is in c
April 15 should be sufficient to properly develop the cleanup proposal.
Please advise your decision on the deadline extension.
HFG/cdj
cc: Mr. K.
