These Bills require <br />the inventory, inspection and permitting of all underground storage tanks that <br />contain hazardous materials. The San Joaquin Local Health District, Division <br />of Environmental Health was designated as the enforcement agency for the <br />cities and unincorporated areas within San Joaquin Canty, State law provides <br />for a fee system to cover the cost of implementing this state mandated <br />program. <br />Local fees (see attached Fee Schedule), for these required inspectional <br />services, will be billed on a yearly basis- The iacllltie_ Permit to Operate <br />will be issued for a five year period. In .addition to the yearly <br />inspectional fee, this statement will also include a 356/tank State surcharge <br />fee. The State surcharge fee per tank will be charged every five year_ or <br />whenever the facilities permit is renewed or amended. All State surcharge <br />fees will be transmitted by the Health District to the California Water <br />Resources Control Board. <br />To apply for a. facilities Permit to Operate, complete the attached Fee <br />Worksheet and submit the appropriate fees. Fees are due and payable February <br />3, 1985. Fees received after March 6, 1955 are subject to 100%, penalty. <br />In order to answer any questions regarding this Underground Storage Tank <br />program, the San Joaquin Local Health Distict Division of Environmental Health <br />has scheduled the following information workshops: <br />i. Thursday, January 307 1930 10 AM <br />2. Monday, Febru•a,ry 3,.1986, 2 PM <br />3. Tuesday, February 11, 106r 2 PM <br />0 <br />All of the above informational workshops will be conducted at. the San Joaquin <br />Local Health District Board Room, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton, CA. Due to <br />limited space, these workshops wit be limited to the first 200 persons per <br />meeting. <br />If you have any questions regarding this, please contact C.
