Positive Seal Quality Materials
Sump Entry
Flexible entry boots have been
tested to withstand a minimum
of 6' of liquid head pressure.
These seals provide a studded
flange connection to create a
positive and secure seal where
the rubber contacts the sump
wall and also around the pipe
or conduit. Tightening down
on a series of stud fasteners
with a compression ring pro-
vides a high compression
mechanical seal compared to
screw on type bulkhead seals.
Angled Entries
Pipe and conduit entering
the containment sumps may not
be perpendicular with the sump
wall. Angled entries are generally
a result of directional plumbing
restrictions on the inside of the
containment chamber due to
space limitations. Flexible entry
boots are flexible enough to per-
mit angled pipe or conduit entries
(on two axises) into the sidewall
of a containment chamber. All
flexible entry boots permit angled
entries up to a 15 degree angle
off the perpendicular center line
in any direction without leaking or
putting undue stress on the pipe
or conduit seal.
Universal Alignment
These seals are also capable
of universal pipe alignment
either up and down or side to
side. This feature allows accom-
modation of pipe entry holes
which are installed slightly off
exact center alignment in the
chamber wall. This movement
will prevent the chamber wall
from putting undue stress on the
pipe coupling/fitting joint and the
entry boot as well. For flexible
piping applications within dis-
penser sumps, the stresses on
the pipe fittings below the prod-
uct inlets are minimized by the
boot's flexibility.
Corrosion Resistance
The exterior studded metal
compression ring that provides
the positive sealing pressure is
encapsulated within rubber to
protect it from corrosion. More
than a 1/8" of rubber isolates the
metallic studded ring from the
ground environment. All studs
are made of 401 stainless steel
and are only exposed on the
inside of the containment sump.
Chemical Compatibility
All seals are made of specially
formulated Buna-N rubber
compound which has been
independently tested to insure
its compatibility with a wide
assortment of chemicals.
These tests include measuring
the material's retention of
properties as well as the
physical characteristics of
the seal after exposure.
UL Listed
Environ flexible entry boots are Listed with Underwriters
Laboratories, Inc., (UL). The scope of the tests include broad
compatibility testing for both petroleum products and burial
environments as well as physical testing to confirm the entry
boots structural integrity and liquid tightness.
Sizes Available
Application1.32" 4.25" FEB -3157 Designed to seal 1/2 3/4 or 1" rigid conduit.
1.81" 4.25" FEB -3150
1.81"
4.75"
FEB -5150
1.81"
6.25"
FEB -6150
2.37"
6.25"
FEB -6200
3.50" 6.25" FEB -6300
3.6" 7.75" FEB -7360
4.50" 7.75" FEB -7400
Designed to seal 1-1/2" standard rigid pipe.
Designed to seal 1-1/2" GeoFlexflexible pipe.
Designed to seal 1-1/2" GeoFlexflexible pipe.
Designed to seal 2" GeoR"flexible pipe.
Designed to seal 3" standard rigid pipe.
Designed to seal 3" Geoflexflexible pipe.
Designed to seal 4" standard rigid pipe.
4.50"
7.75"
GDB-7450
Designed to seal 4" GeoDuct flexible ducting.
6.50"
9"
FEB -8600
Designed to seal 6" standard rigid pipe.
1.81"
7.75"
GDB-4515
Seals 4" GeoDuct to 1-1/2" GeoFlex
2.37" 7.75" GDB-4520
3.5" 7.75" GDB-4530
6 Environ Literature Can Be Accessed From Our Websti:''
www.envproduct com
Seals 4" GeoDuct to 2" GeoFlex
Seals 4" GeoDuct to 1-1/2"GeoFlex w/coax (Donut)
Publication: EPF-0090 P.O.
