B.
row
Figure 2
C. Containment Crossover Detail
When installing a Smith Fiberglass containment system,
some preparation is required to obtain the closest possible
Lay out system separation of lines. It is necessary to shorten one leg of
with all dry pints. the 45° containment elbow and the side run of the contain-
ment tee.
Containment Fittings
Available containment fittings are 45° elbows, 90° elbows,
tees, couplings, and termination concentric reducers (with or
without 3/4" NPT threaded outlet). All containment fittings con-
sist of two halves.
Fittings are assembled with 'A" — 20 standard bolts or 1/4" —
20 carriage bolts, along with Smith Fiberglass adhesive. Car-
riage bolts will not require a back-up wrench. (NOTE:
Fittings are supplied by Smith Fiberglass without hardware.)
The fitting I.D. and flat bonding surfaces are pre -sanded in the
factory. Two-piece secondary containment fittings must be
bonded with a greater amount of adhesive than is normally
used with the bell and spigot joints.
