BLOOM COMPANY
2010 WEST FREMONT
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
In this letter Kaldveer Associates, Inc. presents the work plan for the
sampling of soil and water from the tank excavation located on the
property of Charles H. Bloom Company, in Stockton, California. The
purpose of this sampling program is to determine the presence, if any, of
petroleum hydrocarbons in the subsurface native soils or water found
seeping into the pit of the former underground fuel storage tank. The
site is shown on the Site Vicinity Map, Figure 1.
SCOPE
Our scope of work for this project will include:
1. The preparation of this work plan.
2. Consultation pertaining to tank pit re -excavation.
3. A field program consisting of visual observations of the tank pit
re -excavation, obtaining a maximum of two native soil samples and
one water sample, following the direction of San Joaquin County
Health Department personnel. The tank pit will be re -excavated
to expose undisturbed native soils and expected seepage of water.
After the soil samples are taken, the water will be allowed to
accumulate, then it will be pumped from the pit and placed in a
storage tank. When the pit has been recharged with water, a
water sample will be taken. The samples will be appropriately
packed, refrigerated and transported to the chemical laboratory
425 Roland Way
Oakland, California 94621
(415) 568-4001
FAX:415-568-2205
A California Corporation
