All facility <br /> communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. Secondary containment shall be maintained clean and dry at all times. Immediately begin this practice. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste. <br /> A 55 gallon drum of oily solids and a 5 gallon bucket of used oil were observed open. All hazardous waste containers <br /> shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure <br /> all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> A 55 gallon black steel drum of waste absorbent and solids in the hazardous waste storage area was incorrectly <br /> labeled as used oil filters with no additional labeling. Two 55 gallon drums of used oil, one in the hazardous waste <br /> storage area and one outside the building, were observed with no labeling. Five 55 gallon drums of used oil and a 55 <br /> gallon drum of used antifreeze were observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no hazardous property <br /> marked. A 5 gallon bucket of used oil was observed in the building with no labeling. All hazardous waste containers <br /> shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties(ignitable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> - physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> A checklist was left on site at the time of inspection.
