(RS) is planning to install a vapor extraction system <br /> (VES) at the subject site for remediation of gasoline contaminated soil at the former <br /> tank location, on the north side of the building. Enclosed is a check in the amount <br /> of $ 149.00 for permit fees and a permit application for installation of the vadose well, <br /> VEW- 1, and the manometer points MP-1, 2, 3 and for closure of MW- 1 which needs <br /> to be removed due to the City's road construction project. <br /> Sheets 1 and 2 are sketches showing the locations and construction of the wells to <br /> be installed. The well locations have been selected to avoid conflict with the new <br /> construction. Closure of MW-1 would be in accordance with San Joaquin County's <br /> requirements which include drilling out the casing and backfilling with grout.
