14 November 2014
AGE Project No . 07- 1529
Page 4 of 6
• Monitoring and injection well installation and development ;
• Well installation reporting ;
PERMITTING AND PRE -FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the SJCEHD and City of
Stockton (Encroachment) . In addition , an update to the health and safety plan presently
on -file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance
Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health Administration , U . S . Coast Guard and U . S . Environmental Protection
Agency , 1985) . Prior to mobilization , each proposed boring/well locations will be clearly
marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
DRILLING
AGE proposes to advance a total of five (5) pilot soil borings to a depths of 55 feet bsg
(shallow monitoring wells) and 120 feet bsg (deep monitoring and injection wells) . Soil
borings will be advanced using a truck-or track-mounted drill rig equipped with 8 . 25-inch
hollow-stem augers . Proposed well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 . Soil samples
will not be collected during installation of the proposed wells .
WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Proposed pilot borings will be single-completed as shallow and deep monitoring wells
and deep injection wells . The proposed monitoring injection wells will be screened at
depths between approximately 100 feet and 120 feet bsg . Depths of the screened
intervals may vary or be reduced overall according to hydrogeologic conditions
encountered during drilling . Following installation , each well will be developed to
maximize water flow and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the
well during pumping or bailing , and to maximize the efficiency of ISCO injections . As
built diagrams of the proposed design of the injection wells and monitoring wells has
been included as Figures 7 and 8 .
WELL INSTALLATION REPORT OF FINDINGS
A report documenting the findings of the well installations and development will be
prepared following performance of field work . The report will include a description of
work performed and the results of sampling and analysis . Conclusions and
recommendations will also be included , if applicable in the report. All reports will be in a
Advanced GeoGnvironmental, Inc.
