Fremont Street, Stockton, California (Figure 1) This report presents groundwater
elevations measured in onsite and offsite groundwater monitoring wells, groundwater
flow direction and gradient, and analytical results of groundwater samples collected
during the first quarter 2002 monitoring event
BACKGROUND
The subject site is located in a maxed commercial/residential neighborhood in east-central
Stockton and was formerly used to manufacture plastic products Topography in the area
is flat, with a surface elevation of approximately 22 feet above mean sea level The
property was sold to Henderson Construction, Inc in 1998
Information previously gathered during a file review at the San Joaquin County
PHS/EHD in August 1988 showed that Precision Industries, Inc observed the removal of
one 1,000-gallon underground storage tank (UST) The UST was installed in 1976 in the
northern portion of the facility A soil sample was collected from beneath the UST at
approximately 9 feet below ground surface (bgs) Total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline (TPHG) and benzene were detected at concentrations of 3,400 parts per million
(ppm) and 61 ppm, respectively
Between August 1989 and December 1993, Western Geologic Resources, Remediation
Services, Inc and BSK and Associates performed additional subsurface investigations A
total of eleven soil bonngs were drilled and converted to seven groundwater monitoring
,10 wells (MW-1 through MW-7), two vapor extraction wells (VEW-1 and VEW-2), and two
manometers (MP-1 and MP-2) Well locations are shown on Figure 2
