1. INTRODUCTION
Stratus Environmental, Inc. (Stratus), on behalf of Beasley and Associates, L.P., has prepared the
following Site Conceptual Model (SCM) for the former Apache Plastics facility, located at 2050
East Fremont Street, Stockton, California (the site) (Figure 1). This SCM was prepared pursuant
to a request from San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Department
(PHS/EHD) in a letter dated May 12, 2002.
The purpose of this SCM is to integrate the hydrogeologic and chemical analytical data gathered
to date, to better understand the extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil and groundwater.
The model identifies transport and exposure pathways, and data gaps that require further
characterization. This SCM consists primarily of tables and figures that have been generated
from previous site assessment activities, and provides a platform to communicate activity and
progress.
p:\Apache Plastics\ReportMpache SCM.doc Page 1 Stratus
