Filters were <br />drained into the secondary containment. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a <br />fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br />environment. <br />Immediately clean out the secondary containment and drain oil filters into the used oil storage containers. Manage <br />according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br />Provide a corrective action statement to resolve this violation. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />401 <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br />The totes used to store used oil have 2-3 inch diameter holes in the top. Hazardous waste shall be stored in a <br />container that are in good condition. Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good <br />condition or have hazardous wastes properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous waste hauler under a proper <br />manifest. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />403 <br />CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />One used oil tote was not closed with the cap screwed on. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all <br />times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste <br />containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />Three used oil totes were missing the name and address of the used oil generator and the accumulation start dates. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
