Kettleman <br />Lodi, California <br />Dear Mr. Hartzell: <br />This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of Chevron <br />Products Company (Chevron), presents proposed revisions to the compliance dates and text <br />of the Site Specific Investigation and Cleanup Tasks listed in the draft Cleanup and <br />Abatement Order (CAO) faxed on April 11, 2000 and discussed in our meeting on April 12, <br />2000. <br />Task 2: Install and continuously operate an interim pump and treat system in the area of the <br />highest groundwater MtBE contamination. Compliance date: 1 July 2000. <br />Task, 3: (unchanged — task has been implemented by City of Lodi [note: City of Lodi has <br />denied Gettler-Ryan access to City Well 12]) <br />Task 4: (unchanged) <br />Task 5: add the following to the end of the task description: If the findings of the work <br />performed under the workplan required in Task 4 do not, in the opinion of the Board staff, <br />adequately define the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel <br />oxygenates both on and off site, further assessment work will be required and the PAR <br />compliance date noted here will be delayed appropriately.
