Veeder-Root Sensor Applica{on Guide
Hydrostatic Reservoir Sensor
The Hydrostatic Reservoir Sensor accurately detects fluid level change in the reservoir and interstice of a double-
wall storage tank. This sensor is available in a dual-point or single-point configuration.
The Dual-Point version is ideal for high groundwater areas, and can differentiate between a high level alarm condi-
tion and a low level alarm condition. If an inner-wall leak occurs, the brine seeps into the tank triggering a low level
alarm, if an outer wall leak occurs, fluid seeps into the interstice triggering a high level alarm.
The Single-Point version can be used in low groundwater locations. If an inner-wall leak occurs, the brine seeps
into the tank triggering a fuel alarm,or if the outer wall leaks, the brine seeps out of the tank interstice triggering a
fuel alarm.
Sensor Detection Capabilities -Alarm Conditions
• Dual-Point Version
-Leak in inner wall triggers a low level alarm
- Leak in outer wall triggers a high level alarm in high groundwater areas or a low level alarm in low
groundwater areas.
-An open sensor triggers a sensor out alarm.
• Single-Point Version
-Leak in inner or outer wall triggers a fuel alarm in low groundwater areas.
-An open sensor triggers a sensor out alarm.
Operating Capabilities
• Operating temperature range: -25 to+500C.
• Storage temperature range:-40 to+60•C.
• Operates in salt brine solution of up to 30%CaCI.
• Cable length: 12 feet
• Sensor dimensions:Single Point-6"high,2.5"diameter; Dual Point- 17.3 high,2.5"diameter.
Sensor Interface Module
• TLS-350 series consoles(except TLS-350J)- Interstitial/Liquid Sensor interface module(P/N 329358-001)
accepts up to 8 sensors(a maximum of 64 sensors could be monitored by the console).
• TLS-350J console-4 sensors max.
• TLS-3001, PC-300i,TLS-300C,TLS-300J, t4"min.dia.
