The 87-octane piping sump sensor failed to activate an audible and visual alarm when tested to
ensure continuous monitoring of the tank system. All monitoring equipment shall be maintained to
activate an audible and visual alarm or stop the flow of product at the dispenser when it detects a leak.
The technician onsite cleaned and successfully retested the aforementioned sensor during the
inspection. CORRECTED.
302 & 308. Jumper hoses were found to be connected (or Schrader valves not removed) on secondary
lines in all UDCs (under dispenser containments). Any potential release from the primary containment
into the secondary containment in the diesel, 87-octane and 91-octane piping does not flow into a
collection sump. All secondary containment systems shall be sloped so that all releases will flow to a
collection sump located at the low point of the underground piping. Immediately contact a properly
licensed, trained, and certified contractor to ensure that any releases in the aforementioned piping flows
into the appropriate UDCs.
