Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize <br /> the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten <br /> human health or the environment. Immediately clean the dark stain on the soil, and manage according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br /> managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 401 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> Observed a 55-gallon plastic drum of antifreeze with a hole in the lid. Hazardous waste shall be stored in a container <br /> that are in good condition. Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition or <br /> have hazardous wastes properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous waste hauler under a proper manifest. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(4)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> Observed a 55-gallon plastic drum of antifreeze with a hole in lid. According to the owner, the 55-gallon plastic drum <br /> remains open even when the shop is closed. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when <br /> adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> ***This is a revised inspection report. This inspection report supersedes the previous report on May 8, 2015. <br /> Certified mailing of inspection report to facility owner on May 18, 2015. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by June 21, 2015. <br /> Please be aware that as of January 1, 2014, facility operators are required to upload the following UST program <br /> documents into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS): UST Monitoring Site Plan, UST <br /> Certification of Financial Responsibility, UST Response Plan, UST Letter from Chief Financial Officer (if <br /> applicable), and the Owner Statement of Designated Operator Compliance.
