r, <br />S ECOR <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR), on behalf of Chevron Environmental Management <br />-- Company (Chevron), has prepared this No Further Action Required (NFAR) request for former <br />_ Chevron service station 9-5775, located at 301 West Kettleman Lane in Lodi, CA (Figure 1 and <br />2). This NFAR request has been prepared for the California Regional Water Quality Control <br />Board — Central Valley Region (RWQCB) in accordance with the requirements of the TRI - <br />Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of <br />t Underground Storage Tanks, April 16, 2004; and Cleanup and Abatement Order No. 5-00-704, <br />-- dated April 20, 2000. As required by the NFAR guidelines, a "check -oft"' table of required <br />information for NFAR status is included as Appendix A. <br />This report presents SECOR's understanding of existing conditions at the subject site. The <br />"*k conclusions contained herein are based on analytical results and professional judgment in <br />accordance with current standards of professional practice; no other warranty is expressed or <br />- implied. SECOR assumes no responsibility for data reported by other consultants or <br />177 contractors. <br />w <br />r„ <br />A summary of the area's regional settings including climate, surface water hydrology, geology, <br />hydrogeology, stratigraphy, and horizontal hydraulic gradient are presented in Section 3.0. <br />- 2.0 SITE BACKGROUND <br />2.1 Current Site Conditions <br />The site is a former Chevron branded service station located at 301 West Kettleman Lane, <br />approximately 0.8 mile west of Highway 99 in Lodi, California. Former facilities included four <br />g o service bays, three dispenser islands, one sales kiosk, three 10,000 -gallon gasoline <br />underground storage tanks (USTs); one 1,000 -gallon used -oil UST, one 550 -gallon previously <br />abandoned used -oil UST, and one hydraulic hoist. The site is bounded to the west by South <br />i Lee Avenue, to the east by South Pleasant Avenue, to the south by Kettleman Lane, and <br />residential areas are located to the north. <br />7 The property is owned by Ivern and Roger Saffoni of Lodi, California. The property is currently <br />s 1 leased to Prime Shine Express. A Prime Shine Express car wash and auto lubricant center is <br />currently operated at the site. The area surrounding the site is used and zoned for mixed <br />{ commercial and residential use. Figure 2 illustrates the layout of the site and pertinent site <br />features. <br />€ The site topography is generally flat and level.
