s <br />January 12, 2001 <br />Project 077 41991 043 <br />Mr Bob Cochran <br />Chevron Products Company <br />P O Box 6004 <br />San Ramon, CA <br />SECOR <br />lnk>> ahonal Intw loialed <br />JAN 1. 6 2001 <br />ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br />PERMIT/SERVICES <br />RE Fourth Quarter 2000 Remedial System Evaluation Report <br />Former Chevron #9-5775 <br />301 West Kettleman Lane <br />Lodi, California <br />Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-704 <br />Dear Mr Cochran <br />This report, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br />Chevron Products Company (Chevron), presents operating data for the groundwater <br />extraction (GWE) and soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems at the site referenced above <br />is (Figures 1 and 2) GWE and SVE systems were initiated on July 3, 2000 On <br />November 1, 2000, SECOR assumed operation and maintenance responsibility for the <br />GWE and SVE systems from Gettler-Ryan (G -R) A brief description and performance <br />evaluation of the remedial system between August 31 and December 27, 2000, are <br />presented below <br />GROUNDWATER EXTRACTION SYSTEM <br />GWE system extracts groundwater from site wells EX -1, MW-14/EX-2, and EX -3 <br />Extraction and treatment of groundwater from EX -1, EX-2/MW-14, and EX -3 was <br />initiated on July 3, September 22, and November 28, 2000, respectively Extracted <br />groundwater is routed through a particulate filter, then three 2,000 -pound liquid phase <br />activated carbon vessels plumbed in series <br />Samples were collected form the influent port, midpoint 1 (between the first and second <br />carbon vessels), midpoint 2 (between the second and third carbon vessels), and the <br />effluent port on a weekly basis during the fourth quarter Weekly sampling was not <br />performed between November 8 and 29, 2000, due to the performance of an aquifer test <br />During the most recent sampling event, December 27, 2000, influent concentrations of <br />methyl tertiary butyl ether (MtBE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (EtBE), and tertiary amyl <br />methyl ether (TAME) were reported as 2,800 ug/l, 130 ug/l, and 23 ug/l, respectively <br />(Table 1) Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, <br />ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX compounds), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di- <br />j1117Moo( Road 1 w 100 Rewcbo (wdoia ( 1 95070 916 101 0 i0 W0(, 01 0101ax utrrr �c(w (om <br />
