SECOR <br />May 16, 2000 �i ''' 1�''�a International Incorporated <br />Project 077 41991 043 60 my PM 1:06 <br />Marty Hartzell Harlin Knoll <br />RWQCB — Central Valley Region San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br />3443 Routier Road, Suite A Division <br />Sacramento, CA 95827-3098 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br />Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />Re: Former Chevron Service Station #9-5775 <br />301 West Kettleman Lane <br />Lodi, California <br />Dear Mr Hartzell and Mr Knoll <br />This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br />Chevron Products Company (Chevron), presents a summary of the current permitting <br />progress status for the installation of wells at the former Chevron Station located at 301 <br />Kettleman Lane Permits are currently needed through San Joaquin County and <br />California Department of Transportation (Cal Trans) (The City of Lodi encroachment <br />permit has been issued) <br />• Cal Trans - The original permitting requirements (Enclosure 1) received on April <br />13, 2000, are no longer being accepted by Cal Trans Per a phone conversation <br />with PS Venkat (Cal Trans Permitting) on May 9, 2000 and a meeting the <br />following day, a new list of permitting requirements, including the issuance of <br />additional bonds, was outlined (Enclosure 2, received and dated by Cal Trans on <br />May 10, 2000) Currently, the newly required documents ar being prepared and <br />we anticipate their submittal (including bonds) within a week SECOR, on behalf <br />of Chevron, requests San Joaquin County's assistance in this matter PS Venkat <br />can be reached at (209) 948-7945 <br />• San Joaquin County - Delays are being encountered obtaining an off-site access <br />agreement for 300 Kettleman Lane, owned by the Euclid Shopping Center LLC <br />(Euclid) On April 25, 2000, a Chevron Standard Chevron Access Agreement <br />was sent to Euclid On May 8, 2000, substantial revisions to both the wording <br />and format of the Access Agreement were received These revisions were <br />forwarded to Chevron for review on May 9, 2000 Chevrons revisions will be <br />issued to Euclid on May 17, 2000 It may not be possible to finalize wording <br />terms agreeable to both parties SECOR, on behalf of Chevron, requests San <br />Joaquin County's assistance in this matter <br />9912 Busrness Park Drive, Suite 100 Sacramento CA 95827 (916) 364-1880 (916) 364-1889 Fax www secoi com <br />
