This letter, prepared by SECOR International incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br />Chevron Products Company, presents an addendum to Gettler-Ryan's Work Plan for <br />Monitoring Well Installation, dated April 7, 2000, at the subject Site (Figure 1) This <br />addendum to the Work Plan outlines additional proposed treatment necessary to further <br />confine the dissolved hydrocarbon plume previously reported at the Site Remedial <br />wells installed under the Remedial Well Installation and Additional Site Assessment <br />Work Plan Addendum, dated April 27, 2000, will be used for implementing an Oxygen <br />Diffusion treatment system along the southern and southwestern edges of the Site <br />Gettler-Ryan's Work Plan proposed the drilling and installation of six groundwater <br />monitoring wells (Figure 2) Groundwater contour maps for December 3, 1999 and <br />March 1, 2000 indicate that groundwater flows to the east-southeast and southeast, <br />respectively Eight 4 -inch wells have been proposed in the April 27, 2000 addendum to <br />be installed on the south and southwestern edge of the property for the implementation <br />of an oxygen diffusion treatment system This addendum outlines the proposed oxygen <br />diffusion treatment for the Site <br />OVERVIEW OF OXYGEN DIFFUSION TREATMENT <br />The treatment is the application of a patented method developed at the University of <br />Waterloo by Drs D Mackay and R Wilson, that uses oxygen diffusion to increase <br />biological activity and the biodegradation of TPH, BTEX, and MtBE in groundwater It <br />works as an in -well remediation system that forms an oxygen diffusion halo around the <br />9912 Bus1aaess Park Dnee, Mite 100, Sacramento CA 95827 (916) 364-1880 (916)364-1,",9 Fax rune It ,ceoa com <br />
