Puolic Notice - Closure of Environmental Case <br /> This will same as notice that the Regional water Quality Control Board, Central Valley <br /> Region (Central Valley Water Board) will be soliciting comments from the public <br /> regarding the proposed closure of an environmental case at M1 East Charter Way (aka <br /> a Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), Stockton, California. <br /> Gavin Rawasm <br /> governor SUBJECT SITE: <br /> Former Quick n Save Service Station <br /> M1 East Charter Way, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION COMMENT PERIOD: Monday, January 14, 2019 through <br /> Friday, March 150 2019 <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> California Enesonevenni <br /> P1O m'�o" The Central Valley Water Board currently regulates an environmental case at the <br /> subject property pertaining to a historical release of motor vehicle fuel to Me subsurface <br /> I�* <br /> Matthew Reaftiquez from a farmer underground! storage Yank (UST) and fuel delivery system. Favor Taft <br /> secraftei the responsible parry, contracted with Stratus Envlronmeni Inc. to perform <br /> Envineramot mental work regarding the unauthorized release on Me property. Stratus <br /> presRace completed several phases of investigation on the subject property to investigate the <br /> extent of the fuel contaminant impact to the subsurface. Shems also performed <br /> � I groundwater maniami g antl sampling for several years to assess the Rogers of impact to <br /> shallow groundwater. To clean up the property, Stratus conducted a soil vapor <br /> extraction and air sparge emaciation project, removing an estimated mass Of <br /> µaver Board. approximagely 5,870 pounds of gasoine-related fuel contaminants from the subsurface. <br /> Despite Me cleanup efforts, a localized area where groundwater is impacted with fuel <br /> Regionalgraterouwry contaminants remains in Me ads vicinity (see attached figure). Based on available data <br /> a seems, m trends, it is estimated that remaining groundwater contaminants will afteri to balmy Water Quality Objectives within 20 yeafs. Shahs conduUed a search for water wells <br /> P.E. located near Me groundwater contaminants, and no water wells likely to be threatened <br /> n E. Loral" p. was Identified in the immediate vicinity of these groundwater contaminants. Given the <br /> coalr available information, the peholeum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates remaining in the <br /> subsudace at the subject property appear to represent a 'Low Risk' to human healM <br /> and Me environment.
