Turkatte:
This letter is an addendum to the Problem Assessment Report,
dated January 29, 1992, for the Sierra-Bay Farm Credit Services
property located at 11273 East Ada Avenue in Stockton,
California. As we discussed in a telephone conversation on
February 11, 1992, the modifications to the proposed work are as
follows:
1. Prior to field activities, Condor will notify the San _
Joaquin County Environmental Health Division at least
48 hours in advance. Approximately 15 cubic yards of
soil are expected to be removed during the over-
excavation. Visual inspection (evidence of soil
staining) and field detection equipment (Organic Vapor
Analyzer - FID) will be used to screen the soils during
excavation to assist in evaluating the limits of
contamination.
2. A minimum of five (5) soil samples will be collected
from the enlarged excavation, one from the floor and
each of the four walls for laboratory analyses. All
samples will be collected in brass tubes, capped,
wrapped with duct tape, labeled and immediately placed
in a cooler chilled with Blue Ice for delivery under
chain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytical
Laboratories in Modesto, California. The samples will
be analyzed for TPH-G and BTEX.
3. The excavated soil will be stockpiled on and covered
with plastic sheeting for temporary storage on site to
await disposal at an approved disposal facility
(Forward Landfill or BFI depending on average TPH--G
concentration) .
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL • ENGINEERING • GEOTECHNICAL
