San Joaq ounty E nmental Health Department (SJCEHD) records show two <br /> 12,000-gall one 5,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) <br /> were removed r 1997. Approximately 200 tons of soil was excavated during the <br /> USTs removal a s later backfilled into the USTs pit. Maximum USTs soil <br /> confirmation samples were total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), <br /> 1,900 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg); toluene, 28 mg/kg; ethylbenzene, 13 mg/kg,- <br /> xylenes, 82 mg/kg,- and methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE), 18 mg/kg. <br /> 4. Eleven groundwater monitoring wells, one soil boring and one cone penetrometer testing <br /> boring were completed from 2002 to 2008. Maximum soil borings results were TPHg, <br /> 6,100 mg/kg; benzene, 6.2 mg/kg; toluene, 89 mg/kg; ethylbenzene, 68 mg/kg; xylenes, <br /> 510 mg/kg; and MTBE, 40 mg/kg. <br />
