Information obtained from the San
1.. Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District
[ Indicate ground water levels from 70 ft subsurface in the
spring of 1978 ( following two dry years) to 35 ft subsurface
. ` in the spring of 1986 (an extremely wet year ) . As 1987 has
r
been a dry year, ithasbeen assumed that the ground water .
table will be below 35 ft.
a An industrial rotary well located approximately 1 , 000 yards
south of the site, the Cerri Feed Store, was drilled to a
it depth of 16,3 ft in June of 1973 . At that time ground water
was encountered at 68 ft. The 6 inch well was sc.?,eened from
140 feet to 160 feet and sealed to the surface ( San Joaquin
r•
Local Health District ) , The direction of the flow of the
ground water in the area also varies but is generally to the
c northeast.
p
I 3. 3 SURFACE WATER
t71
As shown in Figure 3-1 , surface eaters in the area of the
Rainbo Baking Company facility are Duck Creek and Walker
Slough.
