POW- M <br /> ME P11, <br /> d.,' 0. it <br /> R-T;aM <br /> r1r�'F V <br /> IMEM <br /> �. <br /> i <br /> u <br /> 5 <br /> G� <br /> F <br /> 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF FACILITY <br /> Two 6, 000 gallon underground storage tanks were excavated and <br /> !� removed on April 2, 1987 after one tank received a positive <br /> result during a tank test which was conducted in late 1986. <br /> The ranks were approximately 30 years old, constructed of <br /> steel and were resting 12 ft below the surface, The diameter <br /> {r of eaQh tank was 8 ft and they were between 12 and 15 ft long. <br /> ) a As shown in Figure 2•-1 , the orientation of the tanks was east- <br /> west, end to end with a 3 ft separation existing bet=ween them. <br /> t: <br /> The location of the tanks was approximately 50 ft south of the <br /> Baking pfacility' s main building. A concrete. g• pad containing <br /> gas pumps is present directly north of the excavation site. <br /> The gas pumps are currently used to dispense gasoline from an <br /> active underground gasoline tank located between the building <br /> and excavation site. The active tank is located to the <br /> . . % northeast sof the removed tank location. The entire area <br /> surrounding the former tank location is paved with asphalt, <br /> t <br /> xi and following removal operations, the excavation site was <br /> repaved with asphalt.
